Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requires practitioners to participate in a fixed number of hours of approved educational activities every two-years. The number of hours for dentists and specialists is 40; the number for dental prosthetists and dental auxiliaries is 30. At least 80% of the activities undertaken must be scientific or clinically based.

CPD certificate of attendance
Practitioners attending an interstate or overseas activity where the provider does not certify attendance in accordance with the Board’s criteria, can download this template certificate & get the activity provider to complete it.

This lists the sorts of matters the Board will check during a CPD audit. The Checklist can be used by practitioners to carry out a self-audit to evaluate their CPD compliance.
