
Making a notification
The Dental Practice Board of Victoria has been set up to protect the public by registering dental care providers and by investigating their professional conduct, professional ability or ability to practise. Dental care providers include: dentists, dental specialists, dental prosthetists, dental hygienists and dental therapists.
If you have concerns about the professional conduct, professional performance or ability to practise of a dental care provider, you can raise your concerns with the Board. These allegations or complaints are called Notifications. The Board encourages you to discuss the issue first with the practitioner and see if you can satisfactorily resolve it. If after talking to the dental care provider you feel your problem has not been resolved, then you may wish to ask the Board to investigate.
